HI! My name is Ruby.

"I like to color and make things with Play-Doh!"

Ruby is an outgoing, playful, loving and social five-year-old girl of Caucasian and Hispanic descent. Her favorite activities include playing with Play-Doh and silly putty, coloring in coloring books, and playing with Barbies. Ruby feels most comfortable engaging in games and art projects with someone who she knows well and can have difficulty playing on her own. Ruby is happiest when she gets to spend time with the people she cares about.

Ruby will be starting kindergarten in September. Her teachers report that she does well academically and has many friends. Both Ruby’s teachers and foster mother have noted that she has some challenging behaviors. Although these issues are improving, they will likely be seen in a new family.

Legally freed for adoption, Ruby will thrive in a caring and patient family with a mother and a father, two mothers or a single mother. Ruby’s social worker believes that she will do best in a home where she is the only child or you the youngest child in a home. Ruby needs a therapeutically focused and attentive family that will be able to help her make a slow transition into their home.
