HI! My name is Emmanuel!

"Call me Manny!"

Emmanuel or "Manny" is a funny 4-year-old boy of Caucasian descent. He loves to play with his toy trucks and balls. Emmanuel has a diagnosis of mild Cerebral Palsy and as a result has low muscle tone. He recently started walking and taking steps on his own. His orthopedic doctor has stated that Manny will be able to walk on his own in the future but will continue to need physical therapy and occupational therapy to meet this goal.

Emmanuel is generally an easy-going child who is easy to please. He usually does not cry, unless he does not get something he wants. He tends to have trouble with change but can be comforted and supported. Manny loves one-on-one attention. He gets along well his foster family, their extended family, and the other foster children in the home who are same age or younger. Manny attends a public preschool full time through the regular school year and summer through special education services. He receives support for speech, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. He is well -liked by his teachers and enjoys interacting with the other children.

Emmanuel is legally freed for adoption and will need a family that can provide pictures and a letter to his birth mother once a year. Manny does have visitation with four of his siblings and this would be expected to continue post adoption. He would do best in a one or two parent household with no children or older children. A family would need to be able to attend all of his medical appointments and be able to meet his developmental and emotional needs as well.
