HI! My name is Aaliyah.
"I like to help those who are in need!"

And here's what others say...
Aaliyah is an eleven-year-old girl of Cape Verdean and Lebanese descent. She is a quiet child who likes to be clean and organized. She cares about her presentation and likes to dress well and have her hair done. Aaliyah is a very generous person and she likes to please others. Aaliyah would like to be a doctor when she grows up because she enjoys helping those who are in need. She also likes pets and has thought about becoming a veterinarian.

Aaliyah attends school at her residential program. She does well academically with the appropriate supports in place. She follows an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and performs one grade level below peers her age. Aaliyah does her best when given emotional support and structure in her everyday life. Given Aaliyah’s trauma history, she has difficulty regulating her emotions and it is likely Aaliyah will continue to need long term therapeutic support.

Not yet legally freed for adoption, Aaliyah should be placed with a mother and father or two mom family with or without other children in the home. Aaliyah will need some contact with her birth family as she has standing relationships with her birth parents and brothers.
