My name is Jenise.
I would love a family with a pet!
here’s what others say…
Sixteen year old Jenise is an African American/Native American teen with a real flair for fashion. She is sweet, kind, and loving and always has a great smile and boisterous laugh. She loves to sing and is naturally athletic. She is a true fashionista who takes great pride in her appearance and aspires to be a fashion designer or singer when she grows up. In the group home setting where she currently resides, she loves to bake and be involved in group activities.
Jenise enjoys school and is working at grade level. She has the most challenges with math, but is working hard to succeed despite difficulties with attention and focus. She makes friends at school and is active in extra-curricular activities. Jenise participates in therapy and is working on peer relationships and managing her trauma-reactive behaviors.
Legally free for adoption, Jenise would do well in any family constellation without younger children in the home, as she often has difficulty sharing adult attention. She has a strong preference for having at least one adoptive parent who is multiracial. She would also love an older sibling and a pet. However Jenise is most in need of a family who will be patient in supporting her as she works through her past traumas and learns to build healthy attachments.
