HI! My name is Nicki.
I want to be a police officer when I grow up because they are strong, protective leaders.
And here's what others say...
Nicki is a caring and compassionate twelve-year-old Caucasian boy who uses his imagination to connect with others. He is described by many as funny, organized, adventurous and “like a sponge” when it comes to retaining information! Nicki loves to create imaginative games with his stuffed animals, and he is great at building forts and play structures.
In school, Nicki performs best when academic instruction includes some kinesthetic and visual methods. He is currently in a collaborative school but he takes great pride in his ability to make academic progress. It is very likely that with proper support and the use of positive skills to channel his impulses, Nicki will make significant academic progress. He is a very bright boy who is eager to gain new knowledge through exploration. Nicki works very well with same-aged peers and with older students. At times he benefits from modeling and support from adults to engage with others appropriately. He does well with concrete expectations, positive reinforcement and redirection.
Legally freed for adoption, Nicki would do well in a two parent family with a father figure. Pre-adoptive parents should be open to the idea that Nicki needs to maintain his connection with his twin brother who will be adopted separately. Nicki has a bond with other family members and occasional visits provide him much needed comfort and stability. He should be the youngest or only child in the home.
