Anthoney is a sweet and affectionate seventeen year old of African American and Caucasian descent. He endears himself to others with his happy and engaging personality. His foster mother calls Anthoney a comedian because of his terrific sense of humor. Anthoney is currently in a specialized foster home where he gets along well with all the members in the family. He is very gentle with younger children and with the household pets. Anthoney has significant delays and limitations and is followed by specialists for treatable medical conditions. He has also been diagnosed with mild Downs Syndrome and is deaf in his right ear. In addition to his love of music, Anthoney enjoys playing Wii bowling. He is currently attending high school and has an Individualized Educational Plan, as well as support services to address emotional and behavioral needs. Even though Anthoney tries hard to complete his work, his teachers still feel that he is capable of doing more. He tends to be slow in expressing his ability and needs prompts with schoolwork. Anthoney’s social worker is seeking a family of any constellation with or without other children who could be a great advocate for this youngster and support contact with his birth family. Anthoney is legally free for adoption.
