HI! My name is Austin.
“I draw exceptionally well.”
Let
me tell you more about myself…
I love school.
And
here’s what others say…
Austin is an eleven
year old legally free Caucasian boy who loves to be the center of attention.
Sensitive, quiet, and motivated, he is a very hard worker and takes pride
in his accomplishments. He loves to draw, build with Legos, and play with
Matchbox cars. He enjoys playing board games with others or can entertain
himself alone with a puzzle. He is an amazing soccer player, and his peers
admire his ability. Austin is well behaved in his foster home where he
is most receptive to direction, lots of consistency and structure. He
does best when he knows specific rules and has firm direction. Communication
can be frustrating for him as he is autistic and verbal communication
is difficult. His autism is reflective in his social interactions, and
he needs help with boundaries. Austin is in a regular classroom in the
fourth grade although he has an Individualized Educational Plan and a
one-on-one aide. He has made good process in the past year. Austin would
do well in either a two-parent or single parent family with strong parental
figures. He would do best with no other children or much older children
who would be good role models for him. A family knowledgeable about autism
and pervasive development disorders is essential.
If I could
have my own special wish…
I would have a calm and caring family that would
love and be patient with me.
