HI! My name is Amanda.
“I like wearing nice clothes.”
Let
me tell you more about myself…
I like to play board games and do puzzles.
And
here’s what others say…
Amanda is a beautiful
eleven year old, legally free Caucasian girl. She can be quiet and shy and
needs time to warm up before engaging with new acquaintances. She is generally
very cheerful but sensitive and thrives on attention and praise. Amanda
likes to color, draw and play computer games. She enjoys swimming and
is a very proficient swimmer. She loves dressing up in nice clothes and
having her nails polished. Although Amanda has some cognitive limitations,
she performs well in school and works very hard. She has made significant
progress over the past year and now attends a school specifically for
children who have academic challenges. She receives therapy weekly to
help her deal with her feelings and emotions related to loss and separation.
The ideal family for Amanda is one that will be calm, firm and consistent
in their parenting style. A single or two-parent home with older or no
other children and experienced in parenting children with cognitive delays
would also be best for Amanda.
If I could
have my own special wish…
I would have a loving family and a swimming pool.
